Inserting Adsense into SMF board and Topics Page

Google Adsense is the best approach when it comes to getting steady income from your Forum (including SMF forums).As we all know, there are exceptionally ways to acquire income when it comes to owing a forum, if you are a steady forum user you would have noticed that most of the forums we have over the internet make use of this income generating program to monetize the forum.

I use the 768*90 on the main header and i realized i was loosing too much money on other pages especially Boards and Topics/Message pages. It became evident when even Google sent me an email that i was loosing revenue so i woke up to adjust my pages. But the thing is that many SMF Forum owners don’t know how to do this in a SMF Forum. There are lots of mods that can easily help you do this, just a simple search at the smf mod site will help, But here in this post i will be writing on how to manually add you codes for those who love to tweak and know whats happening.

Inserting Adsense into the Topics Page

  1. Log Into Your SMF httpdocs/public_html folder
  2. Navigate and click on Themes Folder.
  3. Then Click on Default folder.
  4. Then click and Edit your Display.template.php file.

Remember to change the “pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx” to your publisher ID or rather just get a new code from your adsense dash board and place it directly there.

  3. Then Click on Active Themes folder.
  4. Then click and Edit your MessageIndex.template.php file.

a Website with WWW or Without ~ whats the Difference?

When you write a URL for your website, it can be written with or without “www,” like this:

Should you include “www” with your URL?

The quick answer to this question is that there is no difference between the two addresses for most modern domains. For example, typing www.flukkytom.com or flukkytom.com into the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of your Web browser will bring you to this site with equal ease. However, leaving “www” off of some websites can result in the browser being unable to find the site. This problem is correctable by the domain holder. A cursory understanding of how the World Wide Web (WWW) works will be helpful in understanding the problem.
